ABOUT
CANADIAN CADAVER

CANINES

We help locate missing individuals, finding answers for their families and community.

WHO
WE ARE
.

The Canadian Cadaver Canines Association is a volunteer-run NGO founded by experienced Search and Rescue (SAR) certified professionals. Our team includes certified scent detection K-9’s, their skilled handlers, Field Technicians, Ground SAR Managers, Team Leaders, and Incident Command personnel.

Our canine handlers not only personally train their dogs, but are also vigilant about their certifications, making them ready to deploy anytime. Our members are certified by independent third-party examiners and in accordance with the Canadian national standard requirements.

Working primarily on Vancouver Island, we also offer our services across BC and Canada. We deeply understand the importance of finding answers and bringing loved ones home, which is why we are ready to help at a moment's notice.

WHAT
WE DO
.

When other avenues have been exhausted and an individual still has not been found, it leaves families, friends, and communities at a loss, suffering from the pain of not knowing. Their loved one may be presumed deceased, at which point we are deployed by families, local authorities, and communities to carry out Search and Recovery, to find answers, and to do everything we can to bring that person home.

HOW

WE DO IT.

We are proud to provide our recovery services at no charge. We rely on donations from our generous community, government grants, and sponsors. Our members often pay out-of-pocket for their own training, their canine's training and care, all equipment, and the costs associated with each search.

We do this because we know how important it is. But we can't do it without the support from compassionate people like you. Thank you for your help.

WHERE
TO FIND US
.

Our team participates in a variety of community events to raise awareness about what we do and how the community can help. At these events, you can meet our team and their K-9s, see the equipment we use, and learn how to get involved. Visit our Facebook page to see where we'll be next.
